Our story

Pocock & Shaw was founded in the 1980s by John Pocock and Ian Shaw with a vision to market homes differently and offer a more personal, knowledgeable alternative to the traditional agency model. From Regent Street and Mill Road to Newmarket and beyond, that independent spirit remains central to who we are today.

Long-standing members of the team include Piers Saunders, Kevin Burt-Gray and Chris Baker who has 41 years of estate agency experience and joined Pocock & Shaw in 2003. Greg Van Dicks started his property career in 1989 and joined us in 1998. They have all helped shape the business and its reputation over many years. While the market has evolved, our principles have remained consistent. We have never aimed to be the biggest, only to be among the most trusted and effective.
